La Marzocco Srl (Italy) will be sponsoring Elisabet Sereno of Barcelona (coffee expert and tea trainer, 2009-2012 WBC Certified Sensory Judge) and her team as they embark on the Way of St. James (El Camino de Santiago) walk.
If you aren’t familiar with this trek it is a pilgrimage route (either by bike or foot) to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia in northwestern Spain, where tradition has it that the remains of the apostle Saint James are buried. The walking trails come from all over Europe, but they all converge at the Cathedral.
Elisabet and her team will walk from Sarria in Spain, and conclude in Santiago de Compestela. They will walk for 5-6 days, averaging 20km per day. Along the way, the team will be raising funds for Coffee Kids, brewing coffee with the Aeropress, and teaching other pilgrims on the walk about good coffee.
