Eighteen years ago, Crema Coffee Roasters opened its first location in Nashville. Founded by Rachel and Ben Lehman, their mission was to serve exceptional coffee. Now, with three locations and a busy wholesale roasting operation, Crema is part of the foundation that helped the Nashville specialty coffee scene grow. Over 13 years, the baristas at Crema’s downtown location have pulled over 4.2 million espresso shots on their La Marzocco Linea PB.

We’re proud to welcome Crema Coffee Roasters into the True Artisan Club, celebrating their dedication to service, quality, and consistency. With a solid preventative maintenance schedule and a dedicated team, their Linea PB has never missed more than an afternoon of making drinks. On any given day, customers stream in and out of their original shop, relying on Crema for their morning commute, a midday pick-me-up, a lunch-break jolt, or even a late-afternoon treat. Crema relies on their Linea PB to meet their customers’ expectations day in and day out.

A major part of Crema’s identity is their development as a coffee roasting operation. In their pursuit of coffee excellence, Crema started roasting in 2011. Growing the company was important to Rachel: she wanted to give employees new opportunities and create a place that offered long-term careers. Roasting also gave Crema the opportunity to showcase the quality they’ve always had in mind to their customers. Key to sharing that vision with their guests is how they translate the flavors they love in the cupping room into espresso drinks customers enjoy. And 4.2 million espresso shots later, Crema’s Linea PB is the primary way their customers get to taste their coffee.
